The Community Services Team at Blackwater Learning Centre was delighted to host their first Christmas Lunch for Older People on Monday 8th December. The lunch was a tremendous success with over eighty seniors in attendance and included a full traditional Christmas meal and entertainment from Ruby O’Hanlon of Glaslough. The team would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the numerous local businesses that sponsored raffle prizes for the event which added to the overall enjoyment of the event. As well as a number of anonymous donors raffle prizes were donated by: Drumbriston Furniture, Carrickroe; Enda Keenan, Tydavnet; G&G Centra, Emyvale; Hollands, Emyvale; McKenna’s Expressway, Aughnacloy; McMahon’s Spar, Emyvale; McQuillans, Emyvale; McSorleys the Chemist, Emyvale; Moycom, Moy Bridge; Paul Bennett Electrical,  Tydavnet; Peter McMahon, Red Boys, Emyvale; Silver Hill, Emyvale; Super Value, Aughnacloy; Tru-Wood Furniture, Emyvale.
