Truagh Development Association is based in Errigal Truagh which is the most northerly parish of County Monaghan, stretching from Emyvale to the Blackwater at Moybridge. The Slieve Beagh mountains, more popularly known as ‘Bragan Mountains’, form the western boundary, separating it from Tyrone.  Bragan is also the largest townland in County Monaghan.
